Marriage records can be a useful source when doing your family history. They list groom's name, bride's name, place of residence, marriage date, name of church and minister/pastor's name. Please note that marriage records are usually filed in the county of the bride's residence. Luckily, Minnesota has a statewide index for these records called the Minnesota Official Marriage System or MOMS. Go to www.moms.mn.gov
